LGI’s social and professional network
LGI created this professional and social network to enable local government professionals to get in touch with each other, keep contacts, share ideas or form groups for discussion. This platform has various features that will enable the members of the LGI community to create your own web-page, present your work to your peers and contribute your thoughts, opinions and ideas.
Member Profiles – Have your fully customizable profile with photo, basic information, publications, and all your contributions to the network.
Real-time Activity Stream - Keep up with other members of the network, and find out what they are saying, how they’re interacting and what they’re sharing.
Event Listings - Schedule your events and invite network members or share information on specific conference or training course.
Interest Groups – Create work groups within the network to discuss a specific theme; collaborate with fellows, researchers, students, LGI grantees or keep in touch with conference participants
Document sharing – Upload your new publication/s and get some opinion from others about it.
Discussion Forum - Start a discussion on any topic and watch other members respond with posts, photos and attachments.
Photo and video sharing – Share your photos with fellow participants of the last conference or training course you attended.
The content on the platform is not managed centrally. All members have the freedom to contribute to all features. Members can find information on how to use the features on this Help page.
